Michael Ukwade OD, PhD, FAAO

Dr. Michael Ukwade is a graduate of the University of Houston, with a Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree, a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Physiological Optics. He had his residency training in Family Practice, and he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He has practiced extensively, and has worked as a research fellow and a lecturer in Optometry. His postgraduate training, research and publications are largely in the areas of Binocular Vision and Ocular Motility, with emphasis on abnormal eye movements (e.g., nystagmus), vergence (fusion) problems as well as depth perception. Dr. Ukwade is also a therapeutic optometrist and an optometric glaucoma specialist. He is currently providing optometric care for children and adults.
